VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Oct 01, 2013 (Marketwired via COMTEX) -- Rainmaker Entertainment Inc. CA:RNK +72.73% today announced that it is launching its television division and naming it Mainframe Entertainment.
"We are excited to focus our television production activities under the Mainframe brand. We believe this announcement emphasizes Rainmaker's commitment to the production of animated programming for television," said Michael Hefferon, President and Executive Producer of Rainmaker.
Acquired from Starz Media in 2006 by then newly-established Rainmaker Entertainment, Mainframe Entertainment was responsible for an impressive production slate throughout the 1990's and early 2000's, including several seasons of ReBoot, as well as the critically-acclaimed 'Transformers' spin-off Beast Wars. Mainframe credits also include Weird-Oh's, Spider-Man, Action Man, Heavy Gear, Max Steel, Scary Godmother and Barbie.

Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Rainmaker Entertainment Inc. is a multifaceted animation studio and one of Canada's largest producers of CG animation. On February 15, 2013, Rainmaker's first feature film, Escape From Planet Earth (distributed by The Weinstein Company), opened on 3,200 screens across North America. Currently the studio is working on its second feature, Ratchet and Clank. Based on the popular Sony PlayStation game, this film is slated for release in 2015.

Sadly, this group cannot be salvaged. I'm finally accepting that it has to be let go of.

An upcoming contest and event are planned, but we can't make that happen without enough members to keep things hoppin'! So add a hyphen and head on over to the new home for ReBoot's art sector! Club Shutdown
I've been thinking off and on about shutting down this group for about the past two years, and now it's come down to a certainty. However, I must next consider the members this will affect and let you all know about the decision.
I haven't been able to keep up on this place or side projects posted to it, nor have I cross-posted or kept up on any news/rumors that have dappled other sites like Facebook or Twitter. I just don't have the time for ReBoot outside of quiet offline fandom anymore.
Simply put, I will keep all works that are currently here up, artists permitting, and the group will go inactive. All future submissions and activity wil

The ReBoot Halloween Slideshow is progressing well, and several of you have expressed interest already! We have no less than sixeen artworks confirmed as of right now from eight talented artists, and it'd be awesome if others joined in! So long as the works are at most PG-13* rated, there are no rules! Pumpkin carvings, spookified screen grabs and scary seasonal art are just what we're looking for. Previous spooky creations can be in the slideshow as well, so if you don't have the time, feel free to add in your Halloween-relevant ReBoot art to take part that way!

So, is there any new news? I read somewhere that the new show will premiere on the twentieth anniversary of the original, but now I can't find anything about it!
